hero.japanese-horizon-line · Horizon line

A hero pattern from Japanese Minimal, drawn alone below with this design's tokens and sample copy. Not used in this design: shown with its tokens for comparison. Give the section root data-pattern="hero.japanese-horizon-line". A guide only: DESIGN.md and tokens.json are the source of truth.

Rule
A light-weight headline (step 4, weight 300) sits in 7–12 at the top; a single hairline crosses the page like a horizon; a muted meta in 1–3, the subhead in 7–10 and a text link in 11–12 sit below it.
Slots
eyebrow, headline, meta, subhead, cta
Grid areas
eyebrow 1-2 · headline 7-12 · meta 1-3 · subhead 7-10 · cta 11-12 (12-column grid, 1-based inclusive spans)
Notes
The hairline sits about 60% down the hero; nothing crosses it. The headline is the only large text and it is light, not bold.
